What's On in Easter Half Term In The New Forest

At our New Forest hotel, we celebrate family stays by giving you special offer breaks because we understand that unhurried time together is important.

Join the fun at the National Trust property Mottisfont, with an Easter egg trail. Pop on the bunny ears, grab an activity sheet and follow the trail around Mottisfont's grounds to discover 10 awesome activity stations.

Friends of the Montagu arms, Coombe Stables, offer wonderful horse-riding experiences. Get out and immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of our New Forest, no matter whether you're a seasoned rider or a beginner. They have guided rides through scenic woodland and open countryside to make it a most memorable day of adventure and tranquillity, just a short drive from your luxurious accommodation.

Family canoeing

Take to the water with New Forest Activities and one of their best-selling family experiences – a family canoeing adventure! And you needn’t have any experience. Enjoy a guided journey bringing together history, wildlife and family fun that’s suitable for all ages.

Begin at the riverside and then paddle along the tranquil Beaulieu River spotting wildlife and hearing tales and stories about the local area as you go.

Easter at Beaulieu is going to be special. Unveiling their newly transformed entrance, there’s also new displays and attractions within the museum to enjoy too.

The brand-new gallery, opening at Easter is Driven: Britain’s Motoring Story!, plus visitors can follow the car-themed Top Trumps trail, and take part in extra Easter activities.

This Easter half term plan a visit to the beautiful 200-acre gardens of Exbury. Spring is a most wonderful time to visit, allowing kids to run and roam and you to relax and enjoy the blooming displays. Spring’s daffodils and camellias are looking spectacular already!

There’s also a play area, a log trail, steam train rides to Dragonfly Pond and a bustling year-round events programme with school holiday workshops and fun things for the whole family to do together.
