Vibrant heritage
A local favourite
The hotel started out as a coaching inn back in the 16th century. A favourite of local farmers and parish officers, the inn was first known as 'The Ship', before being renamed 'The George'. Since then, there has always been an inn on the site, right at the heart of the community.
