Things To Do In Beaulieu This February Half Term
Believe it or not the spring half term is almost upon us, so for those looking ahead, it could spell opportunity for a family break away in the New Forest with some nature-inspired family-friendly adventures and creative endeavours. Valentine’s Day is also just around the corner, so perhaps join forces and celebrate together or sneak away for a romantic evening, either way, we have some wonderful events and things to do in Beaulieu this February half term…

Valentine's Dinner | 14th, 15th and 16th February
Book a table for two and treat your loved one to a romantic dinner at The Terrace Restaurant, or bring the kids and head to our country pub, Monty’s Inn for a family-friendly Valentine’s celebration.
At The Terrace we have the specially created Valentine’s Sharing Menu made for two; starting with a beautifully baked Tunworth and rosemary focaccia, following with a Hampshire beef Wellington or roast monkfish, and finishing with a delicious pavlova.
If, however, your choice is a family Valentine’s, the delightful House Menu or Children’s Menu is available for you all to peruse and find just what you fancy.

The National Motor Museum, Beaulieu

What could be more fun this February half term than waking up in the heart of an ancient woodland, sitting down to a hearty breakfast and then marching the troops over to the fascinating National Motor Museum, Beaulieu?
Between the 15th – 23rd February, the museum is hosting a half term special, taking you back in time and bringing history to life across the attraction with exciting historical hands-on activities with living historical characters!

Hire bikes and take to the forest trails
Just 13 minutes from our hotel in the village of Brockenhurst, head out on a family-friendly exploration of the New Forest National Park.
Hire bikes and get those legs pumping this half term with Cyclexperience and go create some great memories together. Cyclexperience will give you maps or you can download the Komoot app for your day in the woods which begins their HQ in Brockenhurst, just a 5-minute cycle to safe family-friendly forest trails.
St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery, Lymington
Just 15 minutes from the village of Beaulieu, discover St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery in the market town of Lymington. A lovely spot to explore with the kids this half term, and a wonderful creative space for the budding artists and art lovers alike.

The exhibition
18th January – 15th March
An observation of the artists’ interest in the boundaries between land and sea, sea and sky and the skylines of urban and rural settings. The exhibition showcases the work of ten leading printmakers ‘using a range of media to explore the places where the elements meet; along the British coast, in cities and suburbs or out in field and copse.’

‘Learn the technique of monotype printing then, using recycled materials, develop your own images in response to our Shorelines/Skylines exhibition. Prepare to get a little inky and immerse yourself in the possibilities of this technique. Bring aprons and/or wear old clothes!’
Skyline Silhouettes | Thursday 20th February
‘Inspired by our Shorelines/Skylines exhibition have fun and get messy, using pastel crayons to make wonderful skyline artwork.’
