From special menus to thoughtful treats on arrival, there are a whole host of extras luxury hotels can include to make sure the whole family enjoy their stay – finding these offerings is key when booking a family friendly hotel for your next break.
1. Family Friendly Rooms
Get the luxury of having a good night’s sleep by booking a luxury family friendly hotel with blissful bedrooms and spacious suites that cater to the comfort of the whole family. Do the rooms accommodate a cot? Will siblings be squeezing into a sofa bed or will they be snuggled up and catching their Zzz’s in an extra Z bed?
At The Montagu Arms, our luxury suites and courtyard rooms offer a warm welcome to families. With sofa beds, Z beds and pull-out beds for children on site, you’ll sleep soundly in the knowledge that the little ones will wake up well-rested and ready for a day of family adventures in the New Forest. And as children race into the room on arrival, they’ll be greeted with a little welcome gift – delicious gingerbread donkey biscuits just waiting to be gobbled up!
2. Destination: Fun!
Location is high on the agenda when seeking family friendly hotel. The perfect location is a personal choice of course – you may be adventure seekers or relish is relaxation, but one thing we would recommend is doing your research of the local area to ensure you’ll have plenty to do and start making memories with whilst you’re there.
Being based in the New Forest – a playground for adults as well as children - our hotel is surrounded by an abundance of activities for the whole family to enjoy together. From local bicycle hire to take in the stunning surroundings via the scenic routes, to canoeing on the serene stream of Beaulieu River, there’s no question you’ll be kept well-entertained.
Rather go exploring without all the gear? There are plenty of adventures to be had in local woodland and on our nature trails too – just remember to bring your binoculars and a camera to capture all the amazing wildlife.
3. Kids’ Menus
Unless you’re self-catering, remember to check that any on-site hotel restaurants have kids’ menus to satisfy hungry youngsters, and high chairs or booster seats to hand should you require them. If staying in a luxury hotel, be prepared for some areas to be off-limits to children – including age restrictions on restaurants and bars. A quick check on the hotel’s website should give you all the information you need here.
The incredible food at our Terrace Restaurant, offered in half-sized portions for youngsters to enjoy, ensures they don’t miss out on fine dining. Monty’s Inn is also a great place for all to tuck into a pub lunch after an adventurous day in the countryside. At breakfast, kiddies can look forward to the likes of dippy eggs, and at tea time, the one that will be difficult to resist, our children’s traditional afternoon tea is full of sweet treats and finger sandwiches perfect for fussy eaters.
