We know that when it comes to the little ones, it can be the little things that can make the biggest difference and that at times it feels like it would be easier to just stay at home, which is exactly why we ensure your comfort is a priority and understand that our service excellence is the key to you being able to completely let go and enjoy your time away from home.
“What made the stay particularly special was the friendliness and helpfulness of EVERYONE that worked there. They couldn’t have been nicer. We are a family of four and stayed in a modern suite… It was very spacious and the sofa pulled out into a comfortable bed for the two children (6 and 3). It was a lovely bright and quiet room. The girls loved it!” - Adam, Tripadvisor
What about the dog! There’s no need to organise a sitter, bring your dog with you. Our pet-friendly Hampshire hotel has accommodation options that take care of everyone; the Hayloft Suite, Courtyard Retreat, Courtyard Suite and selected Snug rooms in the main house welcome you and your four-legged friends so you can preserve the peace and quiet in your own space. Our pet-friendly rooms are equipped with hardwood or tiled flooring, easy access to outside areas and cosy dog beds for a comfortable stay.
“Everything was perfect. Nice touches for the children, hamper for the dog and champagne on ice for the birthday boy. We ate in Monty's for dinner each night, which was also great with excellent food and catered for the dog!” – HillsJS, Tripadvisor

At the end of a day of half term fun, it’s time to rest, refresh and refuel. Play games and enjoy your family suite, perhaps a little TV time and a relaxing bath before dinner in one of our hotel restaurants.
Children aged over 8 years old are welcome in The Terrace, offering modern British dining and half-sized portions for smaller appetites, or for an evening in a country pub with hearty classic fare, choose our very own Monty’s Inn, which is also dog-friendly.
Half term needn’t be solely for the kids. Make it a family break; a well-deserved rest where you can put the phones away, enjoy shared experiences and create memories. While you may look forward to the comforts of our sumptuous bedrooms, the peacefulness of the New Forest and a glass of wine with dinner, you can also rest assured that the kids will feel wholly relaxed, you’ll all have the chance to get out in nature in whatever way you wish, to play, explore, and adventure, and they can expend all of that extra energy they tend to gather.
This is family time in the New Forest.
